Aquatica Marine offer a wide range of survey inspection services both above and below the waterline by utilising a variety of visual and NDT technologies. The high resolution and accuracy of inspection data sets, both above and below the waterline, feed directly to our customers’ asset management system.

Latest mobile mapping software solutions from Orbit Geospatial Technologies allows for multi sensor data sets – sonar, LiDAR, photographic, UAV/drone – to be viewed, served and analysed in a single intuitive geo-referenced environment. An exceptionally powerful tool for asset managers and owners.

Inspection below the waterline has often relied on divers working in areas of poor visibility to provide reports on condition and defects. To augment, or in some cases even replace this traditional technique, Aquatica Marine have developed a range of sonar based survey services that provide clear visualisation of underwater environments. Fundamental to this, our BlueView BV5000 3D scanning sonar can provide detailed and accurate 3D information of underwater structures. The resultant point clouds create easy to interpret visualisation in either point cloud, or a video file. Our mini-ROV, outfitted with a range of sensors, is able to capture high-resolution video and photography to supplement sonar data sets.

Above the water, the combination of marine mobile mapping and UAV provides a rich data set from which it is possible to conduct visual inspection, condition assessment and asset inventory. High resolution photography and accurate 3D point cloud work to create a simplified method of capturing, visualising and managing critical assets. Additionally, Aquatica Marine offer a range of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) technologies. With efficient in-house workflows utilising ultrasonic and ground penetrating radar, it is possible to inspect masonry, concrete and metallic assets for assessments on quality and condition.

Marine Mobile Mapping

Laser scanning and photography from a vessel, the mobile mapping system captures 3D point cloud and photography above the waterline for inspection, visualisation and survey.

ROV

Remotely operated underwater vehicle capturing photography and video. The small yet powerful mini-ROV, is capable of inspecting and visualising a variety of environments.

3D Sonar Scanning

Based on the BlueView BV5000 Scanning Sonar – a multibeam sonar system which may either be statically of dynamically deployed to provide high resolution 3D visualisation.

UAV/Aerial Survey

From both fixed wing and rotary wing systems, high resolution aerial photography and photogrammetry for inspection, asset inventory and digital terrain modelling.

Thermal Imaging

Infrared thermal imaging utilises the long-infrared range of the electromagnetic spectrum to detect defects in concrete, structures and electrical systems.

Ground Penetrating Radar

High frequency radar for a variety of concrete analysis.

Steel Ultrasonic Testing

Non-destructive testing via utilising a range of ultrasonic equipment, including magnetic crawlers to assess and analyse steel thickness.

Side Scan Sonar

Large area sonar survey tool, commonly utilised for detecting debris, archaeological survey and seabed texture mapping. Either towed or pole mounted, the system is incredibly flexible.
